Some of our key partners include:

Green Belt
IEL has signed an agreement with Green Belt Ltd, Ireland’s largest private forestry management company, for exclusive access to its woodchip resources for a 15-year period.  Green Belt has over 200,000 acres of forestry under its management across Ireland, with a further 10,000 acres on average being planted annually.  The majority of Green Belt’s forestry was originally planted in the 1980s, and as such is now mature for extensive harvesting.  IEL’s agreement with Green Belt provides the company with a guaranteed supply of Wood Chip which will allow it to enter into long-term (e.g. 10-year) ESCO contracts with customers with assurances for both parties in terms of price and volume of the fuel supply to support those contracts. As part of the agreement, Green Belt is responsible for ensuring the quality of the Wood Chip and for all delivery-related issues and charges to the client’s site, as well as ash removal, although the customer interface remains with IEL throughout.

Schmid AG

IEL has exclusive rights to the sale and distribution of Schmid products in UK & Ireland.  The Schmid product range covers standard wood biomass boilers from 8kW to 6.0MW, including containerised systems, and customised biomass equipment up to 25MW including Biomass CHP. Schmid AG is a privately-owned Swiss company which manufactures and supplies a range of wood biomass boilers and other related equipment. Founded in the 1930s, the company has over 70 years experience in the wood energy sector and currently employs over 170 people with annual revenues of around €38m.  Headquartered in Eschlikon in Switzerland, Schmid also has a direct sales presence in Germany and France and has successfully executed biomass projects across Europe, South America and Australia.

BIOS Bioenergiesysteme GmbH
IEL has a close strategic partnership with BIOS specifically aimed at co-operation on large-scale Biomass CHP projects. BIOS is a privately-owned Austrian company with cutting-edge specialist expertise on global terms in the areas of research, development, planning and optimisation of processes and plants designed to generate heat and power from biomass. Based in Graz, the company employs 25 people and has an annual turnover of around €3m. The company has consulted on many large biomass heating and CHP projects across Europe, ranging from around 0.5MW up to 100MW.
