No News on Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) before October 20, 2010

Although stopping short of giving a full commitment, documents published on July 27th included the following statement:

This Government is fully committed to taking action on renewable heat.  The Government is considering responses to the Renewable Heat Incentive consultation and will set out detailed proposals on how to take forward action on renewable heat through the Spending review.

This is intended to give some form of public reassurance that the Government intends to take action, as the Treasury will not allow DECC to give a cast-iron commitment to the RHI before the Comprehensive Spending Review (20 October) is complete
